Indian Air Force Recruitment 2023: The Indian Air Force has released a notification inviting online applications from unmarried Indian males and females for selection as Agniveervayu, as part of the Agnipath Scheme. As per Indian Air Force Recruitment 2023 official notification, the scheme aims to offer young people a four-year military lifestyle experience. The selection process does not include the selection of Commissioned Officers, Pilots, or Navigators. Online registration for the Agniveervayu intake 02/2023 starts on March 17, 2023, and ends on March 31, 2023. The selection test takes place on May 20, 2023. This Recrutiment is open to candidates born between December 26, 2002, and June 26, 2006.
Candidates are required to meet several eligibility criteria, including education, age, marital status, and medical standards. They must pass the 10+2/Intermediate/equivalent examination or have a three-year diploma course in engineering, among other qualifications. They must also be unmarried and commit to remaining so during the four-year engagement period. If they marry during this time, they will be discharged from the service. Female candidates must also undertake not to become pregnant during the engagement period. At the time of enrollment, candidates will need to sign a voluntary undertaking accepting the above conditions.

Flying Branch:
Candidates should have a minimum of 60% marks each in Maths and Physics at 10+2 level and should have completed a graduate degree (any discipline) with a minimum of 3 years degree course from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.
Ground Duty (Technical) Branch:
Candidates should have passed the Intermediate/10+2/Equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics and English from an Education Board listed as COBSE member with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English. Alternatively, candidates should have passed Three years of Diploma Course in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Automobile / Computer Science / Instrumentation Technology / Information Technology) from a Government recognized Polytechnic institute with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in the diploma course (or in Intermediate/Matriculation, if English is not a subject in the Diploma Course).
Ground Duty (Non-Technical) Branch:
Candidates should have passed the Intermediate / 10+2 / Equivalent Examination in any stream/subjects approved by Central / State Education Boards listed as COBSE members with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English. Alternatively, candidates should have passed two years’ vocational course from Education Boards listed as COBSE members with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in the vocational course (or in Intermediate / Matriculation if English is not a subject in Vocational Course).
Physical Standard Criteria for Indian Air Force Recruitment 2023:
As per Indian Air Force Recruitment 2023 official notification, the minimum acceptable height for male candidates is 152.5 cm, while for female candidates it is 152 cm. However, candidates belongs to North East or hilly regions of Uttarakhand can have a lower minimum height of 147 cm, and for candidates from Lakshadweep, the minimum height will be 150 cm. This implies that the height requirement takes into account the varying geographical regions and their impact on the height of the candidates.
The weight of the candidate must be proportionate to their height and age. This means that the weight should be in accordance with the candidate’s body mass index (BMI) and should be appropriate for their height and age.
For both male and female candidates, the chest wall should be well proportioned with a minimum range of expansion of 05 cms. This is to ensure that the candidates have the good lung capacity and can breathe properly during physical activity.
The candidate should have normal hearing and be able to hear forced whispers from a distance of 6 meters by each ear separately. This is to ensure that the candidates have no hearing impairments that could affect their ability to perform their duties.
The candidate should also have healthy gums, a good set of teeth, and a minimum of 14 dental points. This is to ensure that the candidate’s oral health is good, and that they do not have any dental problems that could impact their overall health.
Visual standards are also important, and corneal surgery such as PRK/LASIK is not acceptable. Candidates should bring their prescriptions and spectacles for corrected vision if used. The latest prescription should contain diopter measurement, the ophthalmologist’s registration number, stamp, and signature, and the date of prescription should be within a month prior to appearing for the medical examination.
Finally, the candidate should be of normal anatomy without loss of any appendages. They should be free from any active or latent, acute or chronic, medical or surgical disability or communicable disease, infection, and skin ailments. The candidate should be physically and mentally fit to perform duty in any part of the world, in any climate and terrain. This implies that the candidate should not have any physical or mental health issues that could impact their ability to perform their duties.
Salary for Indian Air Force Recruitment 2023:
As per Indian Air Force Recruitment 2023 official notification, Agniveervayu members will be paid a package of Rs. 30,000 per month with yearly increments, along with various allowances such as risk and hardship allowances, dress and travel allowances, and perks such as ration, clothing, accommodation, and Leave Travel Concession (LTC).
Additionally, Agniveervayu members will receive a one-time “Seva Nidhi” package on completion of their engagement period, which includes their monthly contribution along with matching contributions by the government. The package amount will depend on the number of years of engagement and the corresponding monthly contribution.
After four years of engagement, the total contribution to the Agniveers Corpus Fund by both the member and the government would be approximate Rs. 5.02 lakh. If the member chooses to exit the scheme after four years, they would receive an approximate amount of Rs. 10.04 lakhs as the Seva Nidhi package, excluding interest.
Selection Process for Indian Air Force Recruitment 2023:
As per Indian Air Force Recruitment 2023 official notification, the eligible candidates will receive provisional admit cards for the online test via email, which they can also download from the CASB web portal. The admit card will indicate the exam date and city. The online test will be objective type and bilingual (English and Hindi), except for the English paper. The total duration of the online test will be 60 minutes for science subjects, 45 minutes for other-than-science subjects, and 85 minutes for candidates who have opted for both science and other science subjects. The test will cover English, physics, mathematics (for science subjects), and reasoning and general awareness (RAGA). Candidates must bring a blue or black pen and their original AADHAAR card to the examination center.
