OPENTEXT HIRING SOFTWARE ENGINEER-JAVA FULLSTACK ROLE

The Opportunity: As a Software Engineer, your mission will be to use latest technology to develop complex module/component design, automate and maintain an efficient, flexible, and fault-tolerant cloud solutions. You should be highly motivated and talented engineer with a strong desire to learn and grow your skills in developing the solutions for cloud offerings and deployment. You will be responsible for all aspects of the development, load balancing and disaster recovery etc. and work continuously with cloud solutions.


You are good at:

  • Complex problem-solving skills.

  • Developing high quality code according to design specifications.

  • Analyzing, troubleshooting, and understanding the end user business needs.

  • Adhere to quality. Develop unit tests, API tests and fix code defects.

  • Provide status updates to stakeholders and escalates issues when necessary.

  • Understanding security best practices.

  • Able to work as an individual contributor within a team.

What it takes:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent.

  • 3+ years of experience with the relevant technologies.

  • Experienced full stack Java developer.

  • Good experience in problem solving and programming skills

  • Good experience in Java, Web Services, Rest API and Spring Boot.

  • Experience in any Java Script Framework.

  • Good experience and understanding of Microservices, DevOps

  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GIT etc.

  • Container solutions like Docker, Kubernetes; Understanding of Virtualization concepts.

  • Good understanding of cloud computing environments and preferably experience with Cloud Foundry or Google Cloud Platform or AWS or Azure

  • Should have good trouble shooting and root cause analysis for issues

  • Application clustering / load balancing concepts and technologies

  • Basic DB administration experience (Postgres).

  • Familiarity working in an Agile environment
