TCS NQT 2023 Syllabus

TCS NQT Syllabus

The 2023 batches of the TCS NQT Syllabus have been updated. A brand-new curriculum has been designed for this year's hiring. Some new sections have been added to their selecting procedure. The TCS NQT Syllabus for the 2023 batch is thoroughly explained on this website. To ensure you don't miss any crucial information, study the entire syllabus.





NOTE OF IMPORTANCE
  1. There is no negetive marking.

  2. The TCS NQT for this year cannot be modified.

  3. This year's test did not cover traits Calculator and rough paper are both on your PC; you won't need any more rough paper for the exam.

  4. You are not allowed to lower your eyes during the test.

  5. Only placements on-campus are covered by this syllabus.


2023 TCS NQT Test Pattern:

In order to hire graduates from the class of 2023, TCS NQT changed the curriculum this year.

There are now a few additional sections on the recruitment test.


Section I: Foundation section (For Ninja aspirants)
Advanced Section (mandatory for Digital Aspirants)



Section I: Foundation of Part A

This round is divided into four pieces. The challenge in this round is Moderate. Four sections comprise,

  1. Traits

  2. Ability to Speak

  3. Ability to Reason

  4. Mathematical ability



Section 2: Advanced

In this round, there are three segments. The level of challenge for this round is High. consisting of three sections

  1. Advanced Quantitative Ability

  2. Advanced Reasoning Ability

  3. Advanced Coding Ability


Part - 1 (Traits)

This section will put your abilities to think and formulate scenarios to the test.

You have one minute to respond to four to five psychometric questions in this section. Different colleges include different traits in their on-campus exams.


Part – 2 (Numerical Ability)

With a 75-minute time limit (shared), this section consists of 20 questions. All the questions from the TCS NQT are included below.

  1. Number System, LCM & HCF

  2. Divisibility

  3. Numbers & Decimal Fractions

  4. Geometry

  5. Area, Shapes & Perimeter

  6. Percentages

  7. Allegations and Mixtures

  8. Ratios, Proportion

  9. Work and Time

  10. Speed Time and Distance

  11. Profit and Loss

  12. Averages

  13. Equations

  14. Ages

  15. Series and Progressions

  16. Mean, Median, Mode, Variance, and Standard Deviation

  17. Pie Charts

  18. Tabular DI

  19. Graphical DI

  20. Simplifications and Calculations (Rational and Irrational Number)

  21. Probability

  22. Clocks & Calendar


Part – 3 (Verbal Ability)

This phase has a time limit of 75 minutes (shared) and consists of 25 questions. Following are some of the subjects from which questions will be drawn:

  1. Word Completion

  2. Sentence Completion

  3. Error Identification

  4. Arrangement

  5. Formal or Informal Sentences, Sentence Joining

  6. Meanings

  7. Reading Comprehension


Part – 4 (Reasoning Ability)

20 questions must be answered in 75 minutes (shared) for this phase of the TCS NQT.

  1. Word Pattern

  2. Letter Series

  3. Number Series

  4. Seating Arrangements

  5. Blood Relations

  6. Directional Sense

  7. Cube Folding, Paper Cuts and Folds

  8. Statement and Conclusion

  9. Syllogism

  10. Data Sufficiency

  11. Logical Venn Diagram Based DI

  12. Visual Reasoning

Section – 1 (Advanced Quantitative Ability)

With a 35-minute time limit (shared), this section consists of 10 questions. All the questions from the TCS NQT are included below.

  1. HCF & LCM and Number System

  2. Geometry

  3. Ages

  4. Allegations and Mixtures

  5. Averages

  6. Clocks and Calendars

  7. Equations

  8. Percentages

  9. Permutations and Combinations

  10. Probability

  11. Profit and Loss

  12. Ratios and Proportion

  13. Series and Progressions

  14. Time, Speed and Distance

  15. Time and Work

  16. Mean, Median, Mode, Standard Deviation, and Variance

  17. Data Interpretation

  18. Graphical Data Interpretation

  19. Pie Charts

  20. Tabular Data Interpretation

  21. Simple Arithmetic Operations

Section – 2 (Advanced Reasoning Ability)

With a 35-minute time limit (shared), this section consists of 10 Questions. All the questions from the TCS NQT are included below.

  1. Words Identification

  2. Meaningful Word Creation

  3. Numerical Patterns

  4. Letter Analogy

  5. Ages

  6. Blood Relations

  7. Complex Seating Arrangements

  8. Distance and Directions

  9. Odd Man Out

  10. Symbols and Notations

  11. Cube and Paper Folding

  12. Data Sufficiency

  13. Decision Making

  14. Syllogism

  15. Prepositional Reasoning

  16. Visual Reasoning

Section – 3 (Advanced Coding Ability)

There are two questions in this part, and you have 55 minutes to complete them. All the questions from the TCS NQT are included below.

You must offer a solution in any of your preferred coding languages to the problems in this area. The languages you can choose from are listed below.

You are permitted to code in the following languages:

  • C

  • C++

  • Java

  • Python

  • Perl

  • +more

Important Information for the TCS NQT Syllabus

Important Information Regarding TCS NQT 2023 Hiring Exam:


  1. Lack of a failing grade

  2. Section switching is not allowed.

  3. Changing between sections is also not permitted.

  4. You may switch between questions.

  5. It's not allowed to change browser tabs (Exam will be cancelled instantly)

  6. An AI will oversee the video and audio for students taking exams at home.

  7. 20 students will take the test with each invigilator, who will watch video of the test-takers.
