Virtusa is hiring for Lead Google Could Engineer.

Location - London, UK

Notice Period- Immediate to 15 Days


What’s needed to be considered for this job?



REQUIREMENTS:
  • · Ability to write scripts in the following languages: BASH, Python, Groovy

  • · Recent practical experience using Google SDK to deliver APIs + automation

  • · Delivered platforms based on the principles of Infrastructure as Code usingTerraform

  • · Pipeline + automation: Understanding of Jenkins and how to extend it

  • · Recent experience using Kubernetes

  • · Experience working with a broad set of Google Cloud products & services

  • · Source code management using Github

  • · To understand and be able to write, parse, and process JSON and YAML

  • · A firm understanding of Cloud Security

  • · GCP Associate Cloud Engineer certification


Desirable:
  • · Knowledge of either GoLang or Github Actions

  • · Any other Google Cloud Platform formal certifications

  • · Although we're not using Azure we're still keen to talk to people with Azure certifications who have a desire to move over to GCP

  • · Knowledge of service meshes (Istio preferred)


About you:
  • · Recent experience designing and delivering hybrid-cloud platforms and services, automated API systems with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and agile delivery models

  • · Able to follow and iteratively improve domain-owned services as GCP and other cloud-based products mature + develop new features where other emerging technologies present an opportunity

  • · Ability to work with architectural, business and other engineering leads to shape, design and engineer solutions

  • · Continuous curiosity to learn and develop themselves

  • · Technology agnostic and are willing to adapt their approach in pursuit of the best solution
